The 2018 conference app is now available online or through the conference app via Apple and Android Market App Stores. (Download the CrowdCompass Attendee hub app, then search "California Science Education Conference" to download the event)

The app has information about the general sessions, breakout presentations, focus speakers, short courses, sponsors, and exhibitors. Use the app to build a personal conference schedule, find breakout session locations, connect with other attendees, and more! Plus, learn more about our generous sponsors and the more than 100 exhibitors offering classroom solutions and other education innovations. The app is the best way to stay connected and up-to-date with everything happening around the Conference, including the NEW exhibit hall game with fun prizes to top 2 winners, local eateries, presenter information and so much more. There will be a charge for a printed program at this year’s conference.

The California Science Education Conference offers the most comprehensive science education workshop program in the state. Workshops are 90-minute educational sessions. Many workshops are hands-on and led by other classroom teachers along with other science education professionals. Workshops are open to all conference registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. Workshops will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center and the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel. All workshops presented are aligned to/support one or more California State Adopted Standards. This includes the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA-NGSS), California Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, and the English Language Development (ELD) Standards.

A current list of workshops scheduled for presentation at the conference is now available. In the coming weeks, CSTA will be adding a suite of exhibitor workshops offered by companies and organizations exhibiting at the conference. About six weeks before the conference, CSTA will make available a full service conference app that will serve as the electronic program book for the event. This app will allow you to save your favorite workshop to your schedule, connect with your fellow attendees, and bookmark exhibitors you want to connect with.

Workshops are highly interactive and often involve hands-on investigations, group work, and fascinating demonstrations. You’re likely to receive free classroom materials, lesson plans, units, handouts, and other valuable resources. Access to all workshops is included with your conference registration.

CSTA is pleased to have partnered with several organizations and teacher professional development providers to offer workshops as part of our Featured Conference Partner strand.
